BRIG.Gen. Loreto Pasamonte, one of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s pilots, was conferred the 2025 Golden Aviator Award for Command and Leadership last June 10.

The award was presented by Aviator Raul L. Del Rosario, PAFFS CL 1985, Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines, and Arthur Cordura of PAFFS CL 1992, Commanding General of the Philippine Air Force.

This marks the second time that BGen Pasamonte has received the Golden Aviator Award.

Pasamonte is entrusted with ensuring the safe and dependable air mobility of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

From April 2024 to March 2025, he logged 377.57 flight hours as a rotary-wing pilot.

Under his strong and focused leadership, the Wing achieved and sustained high operational readiness.

He spearheaded intensive pilot and crew training, championed a proactive safety culture and oversaw more than 14,000 man-hours of aircraft maintenance.

He also issued comprehensive bulletins that enhanced policies on flight operations, maintenance, safety, cyber operations, and administration—tightening unit discipline, improving inter-office coordination, and sharpening mission execution.

Through strategic leadership both on the ground and in flight, BGen. Pasamonte continues to embody the highest standards of military aviation—flying with the President and the Filipino people.
