KINILALA ni Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez ang kahalagahan ng mga manggagawa at ang kanilang sakripisyo para sa kanilang pamilya at sa bansa.

Nakiisa si Speaker Romualdez sa mga Pilipino sa pagdiriwang ng Labor day at nangako na tututukan ang mga panukala na magpapabuti sa kanilang kalagayan.

“Our workers are the backbone not only of their families but of the economy and the nation. The economy would not be running if not for their tireless toil,” ani Speaker Romualdez.

“This is the reason why we in the House of Representatives always make it a point to attend to their concerns. We are committed to continue working on measures that protect their rights, promote their welfare and preserve their jobs and incomes,” sabi pa ng lider ng Kamara.

Naaprubahan na ng Kamara ang ilang panukala gaya ng Public Service Act, Retail Trade Law at Foreign Investments Act na makatutulong umano upang mahikayat ang mga dayuhang mamumuhunan na magnegosyo sa bansa na magpaparami sa mapapasukang trabaho.

“The investment-diplomatic missions of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and his economic team, joined by a small group of House members, are all aimed at sustaining economic growth,” sabi pa ni Speaker Romualdez.

“If we can keep the economy on the high growth path, our workers’ jobs and incomes are not only preserved but we create more economic opportunities for them and their families, and our people in general,” dagdag pa ng mambabatas mula sa Leyte.
