Tumulong ang tanggapan nina Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez at Tingog Party-list Rep. Yedda Marie K. Romualdez sa pamimigay ng P3,000 ayuda sa may 600 biktima ng oil spill sa Oriental Mindoro noong Sabado.

Bukod dito ay nagbigay ang Speaker’s office ng P500,000 pinansyal na tulong para sa unang distrito ng Oriental Mindoro sa pangunguna na Rep. Arnan Panaligan.

Ang P3,000 cash aid ay mula sa Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) program ng Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

Ang mabilis na pagpapalabas ng tulong pinansyal ay inasikaso ng Speaker’s office at Tingog sa pangunguna nina Rep. Romualdez at Rep. Jude Acidre.

Dumalo sa distribusyon ng tulong sa Pola auditorium sina Panaligan, Vice Mayor Marvin Rivera, Councilors Agustin Rivas Jr., Rommel Bathan, Jerrymil Lincallo, at Wilson Soleto.

Iginiit ni Speaker Romualdez ang pangangailangan na maramdaman ng mga nangangailangan ang tulong ng gobyerno.

“The presence of the Marcos administration through the help it extends eases the pain and suffering of the victims,” sabi ni Romualdez.

Sinabi naman ni Rep. Romualdez, “We know the amount of assistance does not really cover the damage caused by disasters. But we hope it alleviates a little our citizens’ plight in times of need.”
