POSITIBO pa rin sa Paralytic Shellfish Poison (PSP) o mataas na lebel ng toxic red tide ang limang lugar sa bansa.

Batay sa pagsusuri ng Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) positibo pa rin sa red tide ang:

– coastal waters ng Milagros sa Masbate;

– coastal waters ng Dauis at Tagbilaran City sa Bohol

– Dumanquillas Bay sa Zamboanga del Sur

– Litalit Bay, San Benito sa Surigao del Norte at

– Lianga Bay sa Surigao del Sur

“All types of shellfish and Acetes sp. or alamang gathered from the areas shown above are NOT SAFE for human consumption. Fish, squids, shrimps and crabs are safe for human consumption provided that they are fresh and washed thoroughly, and internal organs such as gills and intestines are removed before cooking,” sabi ng BFAR.

Naalis na sa listahan ang coastal waters ng Bataan (Mariveles, Limay, Orion, Pilar, Balanga, Hermosa, Orani, Abucay at Samal).
