PH flags half-mast para kay superstar Nora
NAKA half-mast noong Martes ang mga watawat ng Pilipinas sa Maynila bilang pakikidalamhati sa pagpanaw ng tinaguriang superstar na si Nora Aunor.
“By the powers vested in me by law, I have ordered all Philippine flags in Manila to fly at half-mast to honor National Artist Nora Aunor until April 22, the day of her interment at the Libingan ng Mga Bayani,” pahayag ni Mayor Honey Lacuna.
Ayon kay Lacuna, nakabatay ang kanyang kautusan sa Local Government Code of 1991, sa Charter of the City of Manila, sa Honors Code of the Philippines at sa Flag and Heraldic Code.
Dugtong pa ng alkalde, maituturing na national treasure si Aunor na binigyan ng necrological service ng National Commission for Culture and Arts (NCCA) at Cultural Center of the Philippines sa Metropolitan Theater.
“Nora Aunor is a heroine among our national artists.
May future generations of Filipinos remember her, watch her films and sing her songs for decades to come,” dugtong ni Lacuna.
