Dumalaw si House Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez sa burol ni Director Mauricio “Morie” Pulhin, Chief ng Technical Staff ng House Committee on Ways and Means, na binaril at napatay ng hindi pa nakikilalang mga salarin noong nakaraang weekend. Ipinahayag ng Speaker ang kanyang pakikiramay sa naiwang pamilya ni Pulhin at tiniyak sa kanyang balo ang buong suporta ng Mababang Kapulungan sa paghahangad ng hustisya.
Kasama rin sa larawan sina Tingog Party-list Representative Jude A. Acidre at House Secretary General Reginald “Reggie” S. Velasco.
Speaker Romualdez nakiramay sa pamilya ni Mulhin
BUMISITA si Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez sa burol ni Director Mauricio “Morie” Pulhin, Technical Staff Chief ng House Committee on Ways and Means, na binaril at napatay ng mga hindi pa nakikilalang salarin sa pagdiriwang ng kaarawan ng kanyang anak sa Quezon City.
Personal na ipinaabot ni Speaker Romualdez ang kanyang pakikiramay sa naiwang pamilya at tiniyak sa biyuda ni Pulhin ang buong suporta ng Kamara upang makamit ang hustisya.
“Morie was a quiet, hardworking professional—someone who served the House with diligence and loyalty. The manner of his death was senseless and deeply disturbing,” ani Speaker Romualdez.
“We will not stop until the perpetrators—and those who may be behind them—are identified and held accountable.”
Sa kanyang pagbisita sa Loyola Memorial Chapels sa Commonwealth noong Martes ng gabi, sina Speaker Romualdez at ang pamilya Pulhin ay binigyan ng briefing ni Police Col. Randy Glenn G. Silvio, Officer-in-Charge ng Quezon City Police District (QCPD), at Police Lt. Col. Romil C. Avenido, Station Commander ng Batasan Police Station 6.
Kumpirmado ng mga opisyal ng pulisya na bumuo na ng isang Special Investigation Team (SIT) upang manguna sa kaso. Sa kasalukuyan ay nirerepaso na ng mga imbestigador ang CCTV footage, nagsasagawa ng forensic analysis, at kumakausap ng mga saksi upang matukoy ang mga salarin. Lahat ng posibleng motibo ay iniimbestigahan, kabilang na ang personal at may kaugnayan sa trabaho.
“I commend the efforts of QCPD and the officers involved in the early stages of the investigation,” ani Speaker Romualdez. “But I urge our law enforcement agencies to move with even greater urgency. Justice delayed is justice denied.”
Nanawagan din ang Speaker sa publiko na makipagtulungan at magbigay ng anumang impormasyong makatutulong upang malutas ang krimen.
“We urge anyone who saw or heard anything unusual to come forward. Even the smallest detail could make a difference,” ani Speaker Romualdez.
“This crime struck at the heart of the institution. It will not be swept aside. We will pursue justice—for Morie, for his family, and for every public servant who deserves to feel safe in the line of duty,” dagdag pa ni Speaker Romualdez.
