NAARESTO ng mga agents of the Philippine National Police ang 17 wanted na personalidad, kabilang ang ilang foreigners, sa manhunt noong Biyernes at Sabado, ayon kay PNP acting chief Lieutenant General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr.

Labing-dalawa sa mga natimbog ang nahuli noong Biyernes habang lima ang nahuli noong Sabado, ayon sa PNP.

Suspek ang 17 sa mga kasong murder, multiple counts ng attempted murder, rape at sexual assault, large-scale drug violations, serious illegal detention at economic crimes at pagpupuslit ng contraband goods.

Naniniwala ang mga pulis na nalansag na nila ang operasyon ng foreign syndicate na nasa likod ng cyber-gambling ring at nasabat din nila ang malaking shipment ng counterfeit consumer products na papasok na sa Pilipinas.

“These arrests prove that the rule of law is unyielding and the PNP will never back down.

We will track down every wanted person and deliver them to the courts so that victims and communities can finally claim the justice they deserve,” sabi ni Lt. Gen. Nartatez.

“Every arrest comes after long days of quiet tracking and help from people in the community who won’t be scared off.

It’s their trust that keeps us moving and proves that policing works best when neighbors and officers work side-by-side,” sabi ni PNP spokesperson Brigadier Gen. Randulf T. Tuaño.
