BINIGYAN ng kaukulang rekognisyon ng Games and Amusements Board (GAB).ang mga natatanging kababaihan na nagbigay ng natatanging ambag at kahusayan sa larangan ng professional sports sa pagdaos ng 3rd Women in Professional Sports Awards na ginanap sa Okada Manila, Paran̈aque City lamakailan.

Sa kabila ng masamang panahon dulot ng Bagyong Opong, dumalo pa rin ang mga women achievers mula sa iba’t ibang professional sports na iwinagayway ang bandera ng Pilipinas sa mga national at international competitions maging sa mga taong nasa likod ng tagumpay ng mga malalakihang sports events sa gabi ng pagkilala.

“Tonight, we gather not only to recognize excellence but we pay tribute to courage, resilience and trailblazing spirit. The women whose achievements will celebrate tonight have inspired us with their will to determination and their discipline that without us, we will never succeeded,” pahayag niGAB Chairman Atty. Francisco Rivera.

Para kay Philippine Commission for Women Chairperson Ermelita Valdeavilla, magsilbi sanang ehemplo ng mga batang kababaihan ang mga natatanging ambag ng mga awardees upang maipagpatuloy nila ang kanilang natamong tagumpay sa iba’t ibang sports.

“I extend my warmest congratulations to all of you. Your victories belong to every girl who dares to dream. To every community who dwells with pride, seeing you thrive and to our nation that grows stronger each time a woman triumphs. Your honor is splendor to our Filipino nation,” pahayag ni Valdevilla.

Samantala, nagbigay naman ng pagbati at papuri sina First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos at Senator Bong Go sa mga awardees, habang nagbigay ng keynote speech ang ICTSI Communications Services and Production Head na si Annalie Marfil.

“Thank you for recognizing the vital role of sports. It is a powerful tool for development and peace. One that unites people across borders and cultures,” pahayag ng Unang Ginang.

“Binabati ko ang lahat ng awardees. Kayo ang patunay na ang Filipina athlete ay matatag, mahusay at tunay na tanglaw ng kinabukasan. Mabuhay ang ating mga kababaihan sa sports,” wika ni Senate Sports Committee Chairman Sen. Go.
