P3.4M shabu seized from 4 drug ‘peddlers’ in Munti

OVER P3.4 million worth of shabu was seized by authorities from four drug personalities in a buy-bust operation Friday evening in Muntinlupa City.

Southern Police District (SPD) Director P/BGen. Jimili Macaraeg identified the arrested suspects as Marco Anthony Panibe, 30, driver; Romnick Misloso, 22, vendor; Ernesto Landing Jr., 25, construction worker; and Dreyven Aubrey Vilasco, 21, sales lady, all residents of Bgy. Poblacion.

Macaraeg said joint operatives of District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU) District Intelligence Division, (DID), District Mobile Force Battalion (DMFB), Muntinlupa Special Weapon and Tactics Team (SWAT) and Police Community Precinct (PCP) 6 conducted a buy-bust operation at around 8:20 p.m. at Phase 4, Bgy. Southville 3, Poblacion, Muntinlupa following a week-long stakeout and surveillance operation against the suspects.

Seized from the suspects were four plastic sachets of shabu, another five knot-tied plastics of shabu weighing more or less 508 grams with an estimated street value of P3,454,400.00, and P1,000 buy-bust money and P4,000 boodle (drug) money.

Arrested suspects were presented for inquest proceedings before the Muntinlupa City Prosecutor’s Office on charges for violation of Sections 5 and 11 under Art. II of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002 while recovered evidence was turned over to SPD Forensic Unit for chemical analysis.

“This notable accomplishment shows our full support in the campaign against illegal drugs. Let us continue our dedication and commitment in service in fighting the illegal drug menace in our country,” Macaraeg said.
