INAPRUBAHAN ng Department of Budget and Management (DBM) ang pagpapalabas ng P5.2 bilyong pondo para sa Targeted Cash Transfer (TCT) program ng Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

Ayon kay Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman inaprubahan na nito ang Special Allotment Release Order (SARO) para sa DSWD noong Nobyembre 17. Kinuha umano ito sa Unprogrammed Appropriation ng 2022 budget.

Umaabot umano sa 9.8 milyong benepisyaryo ang makikinabang dito.

“The DBM fully supports the projects and programs that provide social assistance to our fellow kababayans. It was the President himself who gave the marching order not to neglect those in dire need. Thus, we will do everything we can in our capacity so that they may receive the benefits entitled to them,” sabi ni Pangandaman.

Ang TCT program ay ang unconditional cash transfers na nagkakahalaga ng P500 kada buwan sa loob ng anim na buwan.

Nauna rito, P10.33 bilyon ang inaprubahan ng DBM para sa dalawang buwang TCT.
