Kamara nagbigay ng dagdag na P10M tulong sa Turkey
NAGBIGAY ng dagdag na P10 milyong tulong pinansyal ang Kamara de Representantes sa mga biktima ng lindol sa Turkey.
Ang tulong ay idinaan ni Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez Jr. kay dating Sen. Richard Gordon na chairman ng Philippine Red Cross (PRC).
“On this day of love and compassion, we show our love and appreciation to the people of Turkey who helped us, together with friends and other allies, when we needed it most. We understand and feel what they are going through, and we are praying for them,” sabi ni Speaker Romualdez.
Dumalo rin sa simpleng turnover ceremony sina Tingog party-list Rep. Yedda Marie K. Romualdez, Majority Leader Manuel Jose “Mannix” M. Dalipe, Senior Majority Leader Ferdinand Alexander Marcos, Minority Leader Marcelino Libanan, Deputy Speaker Aurelio “Dong” Gonzales, Reps. Toby Tiangco, Jayjay Suarez, at Rachel Arenas.
Naroon din sina House Secretary General Reginald “Reggie” Velasco, at dating Zamboanga Zibugay Rep. Sharky Palma.
Libu-libo na ang nasawi sa lindol na yumanig sa bahagi ng Turkey at Syria.
Noong Lunes ay ibinigay naman ni Romualdez ang $100,000 tulong sa Ambassador ng Turkey sa Pilipinas na si Niyazi Evren Akyol.
Ang $100,000 donasyon ay galing sa Speaker’s Disaster Relief and Rehabilitation Initiative samantalang ang P10 milyong donasyon ay boluntaryong kontribusyon
