Speaker Romualdez nagbigay-pugay sa pumanaw na si Senate Secretary Gacutan
BINIGYANG-PUGAYB ni Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez ang pumanaw na si dating Senate Secretary at Philippine Constitution Association (Philconsa) Secretary General, Dr. Hezel Gacutan, sa kanyang naging paglilingkod sa bansa.
Sa kanyang eulogy sa isinagawang necrological service sa Manila Memorial Park sa Paranaque City noong Miyerkoles, sinabi ni Speaker Romualdez na si Gacutan ay isang “truly remarkable man,” nagbigay ng pambihirang paglilingkod sa bansa, at natatanging personalidad sa kasaysayan ng pulitika ng bansa.
Ayon kay Speaker Romualdez si Gacutan ay nagsilbing Senate Secretary sa ilalim ng tatlong Senate Presidents, sina Neptali A. Gonzales, Marcelo B. Fernand, at Blas F. Ople.
“He served during a time of immense change, a period when our nation grappled with critical issues of political and economic development. He held the Senate’s institutional memory, ensuring that the wisdom and experience of our past informed our present and future decisions,” ani Speaker Romualdez.
Sinabi ni Speaker Romualdez, ang pangulo ng Philconsa, na bilang Secretary General ng kanilang asosasyon, itinaguyod ni Gacutan ang pagpapanatili ng demokrasya at pinag-husay ang pag-unawa sa Konstitusyon.
“But, beyond his illustrious professional accomplishments, what truly set Dr. Gacutan apart was his unwavering integrity, his tireless dedication, and his profound love for our nation,” sabi pa ni Speaker Romualdez.
“His ability to balance a deep respect for history with a progressive outlook was a testament to his wisdom and foresight. His work has forever shaped our nation’s political landscape, and for that, we owe him a debt of gratitude,” dagdag pa ng lider ng Kamara.
Ayon kay Speaker Romualdez maaaring parangalan ang iniwan ni Gacutan sa pamamagitan ng pagpapanatili ng demokrasya, hustisya, at pag-unlad ng bansa at paggamit sa kanyang kontribusyon bilang inspirasyon at gabay ng mga susunod na henerasyon ng lider ng bansa.
“Dr. Gacutan, thank you for your exemplary service and for the lessons you’ve imparted. Your life and work will forever be etched in the heart of our nation,” pagtatapos ni Speaker Romualdez.
