TINIYAK ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. ang suporta ng kanyang administrasyon sa persons with disabilities (PWDs) at hinimok ang pribadong sektor na damihan pa ang mga inclusive workspace para sa kanila.

Sa kanyang mensahe na binasa ni Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin sa conferment rites ng 30th Apolinario Mabini Awards sa Heroes Hall ng Malacañang Palace, hinamon din ni Pangulong Marcos ang mga ahensya ng gobyerno na tugunan ang mga kinakaharap na isyu ng mga PWD.

“As President, I assure you that the government remains dedicated to addressing the challenges faced by our PWDs so that they can fully participate in shaping our society,” ani Pangulong Marcos.

Ang pagbibigay umano ng maayos na kapaligiran para sa mga PWD ay bahagi ng isinusulong na “new Philippines that will leave nobody behind” ng administrasyong Marcos.

“I trust that the Department of Social Welfare and Development, the Department of Health, our local government units, and all our partner-agencies shall continue to strengthen our programs and services that encourage PWDs to take part in nation-building,” sabi pa ng Pangulo.

“Continue your various advocacies that reduce prejudice and promote the acceptance and empowerment of our PWDs to eliminate stigma, discrimination, and exclusion,” dagdag pa nito.
