ANG matagumpay na paglulungsad ng Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair (BPSF) sa Sultan Kudarat noong Linggo ay isa umanong pagpapakita ng suporta sa Bagong Pilipinas na isinusulong ng administrasyong Marcos at ang sama-samang pagtutol sa panukala na iniwalay ang Mindanao sa Pilipinas.

Ito ang sinabi nina PBA Partylist Margarita “Atty. Migs” Nograles at Lanao del Sur Rep. Zia Alonto Adiong kaugnay ng paglulungsad ng BPSF sa Sultan Kudarat kung saan nasa 150,000 katao ang dumalo.

“This is actually a show of support: unity of the executive and the legislative branch na sinusuportahan natin itong sinusulong ng administration sa Bagong Pilipinas,” ani Nograles, na kasama sa mga mambabatas na sumama kay Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez sa paglulungsad ng BPSF sa Sultan Kudarat.

“And it’s really more of a show of force to support the administration and to show the people na ang priority po natin, ang administration na ito, sa Legislative and Executive branch, ay kung paano natin matutulungan ang mga nangangailangan at ang sambayanang Pilipino,” sabi ng lady solon.

Ito ang ika-12 yugto ng BPSF kung saan mahigit P1.2 bilyong halaga ng ayuda at serbisyo mula sa iba’t ibang programa ang inihatid sa mga residente ng Sultan Kudarat.

“And there are going to be other areas in the next few months. Pero nakakatuwa na ang mga congressmen, pinakita nga po ang support dito dahil magandang program po ito ng administration,” dagdag pa ni Nograles.

Sinabi ni Adiong na sa dami ng pumunta walang duda na tinututulan ang panawagan na ihiwalay ang Mindanao sa Pilipinas.

“Well, it’s a very clear display of support coming from the Mindanaoan solons. Not only Mindanaoan solons but the LGUs in Mindanao. Particularly areas that are predominantly Muslim communities. Makikita po natin ang suporta ng mga Mindanaoan solons dito sa programa ng BPSF,” sabi ni Adiong.

Ayon sa inilabas na ulat ng pulisya, nasa 150,000 katao ang pumunta sa BPSF at 120,000 naman sa Pagkakaisa Concert.

“Doon sa issue ng whether or not yung effect nito doon sa call for secession, I think it’s very clear from Day One, we had a manifesto signed by more than 50 Mindanaoan solons opposing secession. And nakita natin dun sa Sultan Kudarat, even the governor himself has already voiced out yung kanilang opposition regarding secession,” ani Adiong.

“In fact, the first day it never generated support from the grassroots eh, yung call for secession. Actually, what happened is the opposite, it brought Mindanaoan solons and Mindanao leaders together in calling for a United Philippines,” dagdag pa nito.

Nauna rito, 57 kongresista ang lumagda sa Unified Manifesto for National Integrity and Development na nagbabasura sa panawagan nina dating Pangulong Rodrigo Roa Duterte at dating Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez na humiwalay ang Mindanao.

“We, the elected representatives of Mindanao in the House of Representatives, firmly oppose the calls for the secession of Mindanao from the Republic of the Philippines. Our stance is deeply rooted in our belief in national unity, the power of inclusive development, and the promise of a peaceful, progressive future for all Filipinos, including the indigenous people of Mindanao,” sabi ng manifesto.
