PATULOY na pinaghahanap ng Philippine National Police (PNP) tracker teams si former Duterte government spokesperson Harry Roque nitong Miyerkules, habang patuloy ang panawagan ng mga opisyal na sumuko na ang abogado at igalang ang batas.

Ayon kay PNP spokesperson, Colonel Jean S. Fajardo, pinuntahan ng mga pulis ang mga huling kilalang address at iba pang lugar na madalas puntahan ni Atty. Roque ngunit bigo silang matagpuan siya.

“Hindi po siya natagpuan sa mga addresses niya but our tracker teams are continuing their effort to locate him in coordination with the Sergeant-at-Arms of the House of Representatives,” ani Col. Fajardo.

Nanawagan din si Col. Fajardo kay Roque ng ‘respect the process’ dahil walang sinuman ang nakatataas sa batas. Ginawa niya ang panawagan sa kabila ng patuloy na pag-post ni Roque sa Facebook at iba pang mensahe habang siya ay patuloy na nagtatago.

Gayunpaman, sinabi ng opisyal na wala pang indikasyon na umalis na ng bansa si Atty. Roque.

Nitong nakaraang linggo, inatasan ang special tracker teams, na pinamumunuan ng Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), upang hanapin si Roque matapos ipag-utos ng HoR ang kanyang pagkaka-detain dahil sa contempt.

Tiniyak naman ni PNP chief, General Rommel Francisco D. Marbil, na isasagawa ang operasyon nang may pinakamataas na antas ng propesyonalismo at respeto sa due process.

“We have officially received the request from the House of Representatives, and the PNP is fully committed to executing this order while adhering to our core mandate. Our fundamental duty is to respect the decisions of our democratic institutions and ensure human rights are protected throughout this process,” ayon kay Gen. Marbil.
