House leaders kay VP Sara: 

DAPAT umanong itigil na ni Vice President Sara Duterte ang paggawa nito ng mga kontrobersyal na pahayag upang matakpan ang mga kuwestyon kung saan nito ginastos ang pondo ng Office of the Vice President (OVP) at Department of Education (DepEd).

Hinamon nina Senior Deputy Speaker Aurelio “Dong” Gonzales Jr. at Majority Leader Manuel Jose “Mannix” Dalipe si Duterte na direktang sagutin kung papaano nito ginastos ang pera ng taumbayan.

“Public funds are at stake here. Stop diverting the issue and address the controversy directly,” sabi ni Gonzales kay Duterte na iniimbestigahan ang pagrenta nito ng safe house sa halagang P1 milyon sa loob ng 11 araw o P90,000 kada araw.

Dagdag pa ni Gonzales: “Huwag puro iwas, the people deserve clear answers. Pati military ginamit mo, yet they were denied what was due to them. This needs to be explained.”

Para kay Dalipe, ang mga sinabi ni Duterte sa isang press conference nitong Biyernes ay isang desperadong hakbang upang makaiwas sa mga isyu na dapat nitong sagutin.

“Instead of addressing these serious allegations, she’s attacking others. The education system declined under her leadership and public funds were mishandled. She must take responsibility,” punto ni Dalipe.

Lumabas si Duterte sa media matapos lumabas sa pagdinig ng House committee on good government and public accountability na pinamumunuan ni Manila Rep. Joel Chua na ginamit lamang ni Duterte ang mga sertipikasyon mula sa Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) para palabasin na ginamit nito ang P15 milyong halaga ng confidential fund para magbayad ng mga impormante, kahit na wala naman itong ibinigay na pondo sa mga sundalo.

Iniimbestigahan din ng komite ang paggastos ni Duterte ng P16 milyon para sa renta at maintenance ng mga safe house mula Disyembre 21 hanggang 31, 2022, o 11 araw.

Mayroong mga acknowledgment receipt na nagsasabi na binayaran ng P1 milyon ang warehouse na ginamit lamang ng 11 araw.

“This is not the time for deflections or personal attacks,” giit ni Gonzales. “Public funds were misused, and the education system suffered under her leadership. Vice President Duterte must explain where the money went.”

Sinabi naman ni Dalipe na halata na nais ni Duterte na matabunan ang mga isyu.

“The public deserves transparency about how public money, military resources, and the education sector were handled. It’s time for Duterte to stop dodging and face the music,” sabi pa ni Dalipe.
