HINIKAYAT ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. ang mga bagong promote na generals ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) na panatilihin ang international maritime laws at palalimin pa ang commitment ng Pilipinas sa regional peace at cooperation.

Ginawa ni Pangulong Marcos ang pahayag sa oath-taking ng mga bagong generals at flag officers ng AFP at pagkatapos ng bagong insidente ng water cannon at pagbangga ng barko ng China sa mga barko ng Philippine Coast Guard at Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources sa Bajo de Masinloc.

“In defending our waters, we must uphold international maritime laws, deepening our commitment to regional peace and cooperation. By fostering coordination amongst nations, we can safeguard stability while advancing our collective interests,” pahayag ni Pangulong Marcos.

“Diplomacy rooted in strong legal foundations is our most effective instrument in navigating these endeavors,” pahayag ni Pangulong Marcos.

Nakatutuwa ayon sa Pangulo na inilunsad ng AFP ang Combined Coordination Center katuwang ang United States Indo-Pacific Command sa Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City.

“It is a leap forward in our modernization efforts, reinforcing our interoperability with allies and strengthening our defense capabilities under the Mutual Defense Board Concept Plan,” pahayag ni Pangulong Marcos.

Nagsagawa rin aniya ang AFP ng Joint Exercise “DAGIT-PA” o Dagat-Langit-Lupa na nagpapalakas sa tactics, techniques, at procedures ng mga sundalo

“These exercises equip our forces as they address evolving security threats and operationalize the Comprehensive Archipelagic Defense Concept,” pahayag ni Pangulong Marcos.

“However, we continue to face complex and dynamic challenges—threats to our sovereignty, lawless elements that undermine peace, and the increasing frequency of natural disasters. These require us to remain steadfast, resourceful, unyielding in our resolve,” pahayag ni Pangulong Marcos.
