ITINANGGI ng tanggapan ni Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez na na-stroke ang lider ng Kamara de Representantes at naka-confine sa ospital.

“These allegations are completely untrue and are clearly designed to mislead the public and sow confusion,” ani Atty. Lemuel Erwin Romero, head executive assistant ng Speaker’s office sa isang pahayag.

“Speaker Romualdez is in excellent health and continues to perform his duties with dedication and focus,” dagdag pa ni Romero.

Ayon kay Romero, si Speaker Romualdez ay maraming dinaluhang event noong Disyembre 6 at aktibo umano sa pagbibigay ng serbisyo.

Noong umaga ng Biyernes, si Speaker Romualdez ay nasa Malacañang para sa paglagda ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. ng dalawang bagong batas — ang Ligtas Pinoy Centers Act at ang Student Loan Payment Moratorium During Disasters and Emergencies Act.

Nakasama ni Speaker Romualdez sa event ang ilang lider ng Kamara at mga senador.

“The event was widely covered by the media, underscoring his active role in advancing these legislative measures,” sabi pa ni Romero.

Dumalo rin si Speaker Romualdez noong Biyernes sa yearend celebration at thanksgiving ng League of Provinces of the Philippines at nakasama nito si Pangulong Marcos, mga gobernador at ilang senador.

“We urge everyone to rely only on verified and official sources of information and to reject disinformation that seeks to undermine trust in our leaders and institutions,” dagdag pa ni Romero.
