NAGPAABOT ng taos pusong pasasalamat si House Assistant Majority Leader at Quezon City 5th Dist. Rep. Patrick Michael “PM” D. Vargas para kina House Speaker Ferdinand Martin Gomez Romualdez at Senate President Francis “Chiz” Escudero III dahil sa pagkakapasa ng panukalang batas na nagde-deklara sa Enero 6 bilang taunang “Tandang Sora Day”.

“This is a momentous occasion that will remind us the martyrdom and sacrifices of Tandang Sora, who is a key figure in the liberation of oir country. As a Novaleño, I could not be any prouder that her heroism took place in my beloved district in Novaliches,” wika ni Vargas.

Binigyang diin ni Vargas na umaasa siyang magbibigay ng inspirasyon ang inakda at isinulong nitong House Bill No. 5850 upang mahikayat pa ang ilang kababaihan na gumaganap din ng napakahalagang papel sa Lipunan para pamarisan nila ang kabayanihang ipinamalas ni Tandang Sora.

“Novaliches serves a home of the “Katipunan Tree” or the duhat tree where Tandang Sora uplifted the Katipuneros more so the sick and the wounded including Apolinario Mabini,” sabi pa ni Vargas.
