BINUO ng Kamara de Representantes ang Impeachment Secretariat upang tulungan ang House prosecution team sa paglilitis kay Vice President Sara Zimmerman Duterte ng Senate impeachment court.

Ang secretariat ay binuo alinsunod sa Memorandum Order No. 19-1006 (SG) na inilabas ni House Secretary General Reginald “Reggie” S. Velasco.

“The House Secretariat plays a vital role in ensuring the orderly conduct of legislative proceedings, including impeachment trials. This directive ensures that the prosecution team has access to essential logistical, research, and documentation support to facilitate a smooth and efficient trial process,” ayon kay Velasco.

Ang Impeachment Secretariat ay binubuo ng mga kawani mula sa iba’t ibang departamento ng Kamara, tulad ng Office of the Secretary General, Office of the Sergeant-at-Arms, Legislative Operations Department at Legal Affairs Department.

Kabilang sa gawain ng secretariat ay bilang plenary support, legal research, records management, stenographic transcription, information technology, security at administrative coordination.

Iginiit ni Velasco na ang mga itinalagang kawani ay susunod sa mahigpit na patakaran at etikang alituntunin ng Kamara upang matiyak ang transparency at propesyonalismo sa buong proseso.

“This is a routine function aligned with our constitutional duty. The House Secretariat remains neutral and professional in fulfilling its mandate,” dagdag pa ni Velasco.

Upang matiyak ang pananagutan, ang lahat ng itinalagang kawani sa Senado ay magre-record ng kanilang pagdalo gamit ang itinakdang HousePass monitoring system, at ang kanilang mga iskedyul ay pamamahalaan ng kani-kanilang tanggapan.

“As the impeachment process moves forward, the Impeachment Secretariat will continue to provide the necessary support to uphold the integrity of the proceedings,” diin pa ni Velasco.
