NAGPAABOT ng pakikiramay ang isang kongresista at apo ni Dr. Perez ng Sampaguita Pictures kaugnay sa pagpanaw ng isa sa mga haligi ng Pelikulang Pilipino at beteranang aktress na si Ms. Susan Roces.

Sinabi ni Pangasinan Rep. Christopher Vera-Perez de Venecia, anak nina dating House Speaker Jose de Venecia at Manay Gina de Venecia, na labis niyang ikinabigla at kasalukuyang nagdadalamhati sa pagpanaw ng itinuturing na “national treasure” sa larangan ng pelikulang Pilipino na si Susan Roces, asawa ng yumaong Hari ng Aksiyon na si Fernando Poe, Jr.

“Lubos po ang ating pakikiramay kay Senator Grace Poe at sa kanilang buong pamilya. We also pay tribute to Tita Susan’s incredible cinematic and television legacy, being a pillar of the industry like her friend and my aunt Manay Ichu, and we take comfort in the fact that they are now reunited in heaven alongside the late King of Philippine movies, Fernando Poe, Jr.,” sabi ni De Venecia.

Sinabi pa ng mambababatas na: “We will continue to honor Tita Susan through the pursuit of policies and reforms for the audiovisual sector, particularly strengthening workers welfare, empowering the creation of more quality Filipino content, and paving the way towards the successful return of Filipino films to cinemas everywhere”.
