Outgoing DOT Sec. Puyat lilipat sa BSP
LILIPAT si outgoing Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat sa Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) bilang Deputy Governor.
Kinumpirma ni BSP Gov. Benjamin Diokno, ang incoming Finance secretary, ang paglipat ni Puyat sa BSP.
Si Puyat at papalitan ni Liloan, Cebu Mayor Christina Garcia Frasco, ang spokesperson ni Vice President-elect Sara Duterte.
Nagpasalamat naman si Puyat sa pagkuha sa kanya ng BSP.
“As a trained economist, I am looking forward to serving as Deputy Governor in the BSP, not as just another chapter in my career but, more importantly, to serve the Filipino people once again,” sabi ni Puyat.
Si Puyat ay dating lecturer sa UP School of Economics. Siya ay nagsilbi ring Deputy Cabinet Secretary sa ilalim ng Office of the President noong 2006 at Undersecretary ng Department of Agriculture mula 2007 hanggang 2018.
