HINDI nakikita ni Piolo Pascual ang sarili na magkaka-partner o kaya naman ay magreretiro sa showbiz any time soon.

Ito ang binitawan ng Kapamilya actor sa Bright Like the Sun media conference ng itinuturing niyang “partner for life,” ang Sun Life Financial.

Although minsan na niyang inisip na talikuran ang showbiz bago siya mag-40 years old, inamin ni Piolo na at 45, siguro ay nagkaroon lang siya noon ng tinatawag na midlife crisis at dumanas ng pagka-burn out sa santambak na commitment at trabaho.

Ngayon, sabi nga raw niya kay Direk Cathy Garcia-Molina nang magkasama sila sa isang Kumu segment, “Direk ’wag na tayo magsabi ng retirement kasi parang hindi naman din natutuloy.”

Para sa kanya, passion na ang pag-arte. Kaya para sabihin na tatalikuran niya ito, pagiging immature ’yon.

Ani Piolo, “At this point in my life, I just wanna keep doing what I’m doing. This is really something that I really appreciate. Being in this business, being in front of you, guys, just sharing my life.

So, it’s just the same thing, it’s not on the horizon, retiring and all.”

Mag-i-stay daw ang aktor sa limelight hangga’t may maiku-contribute siya rito.

Pagdating naman sa lovelife o pagkakaroon ng partner, ani Papa P, mayroon siyang importanteng na-realize ngayong panahon ng pandemya.

“Alright, to tell you honestly, during this pandemic, I realized it’s not about having a partner per se, basically. But it is about having the independence just to live your life one day at a time.

“And so this pandemic has taught me a lot discipline and it taught me to just appreciate life for whatever it gives you by the day. And so, for me, it’s hard to put it in words but it’s… if and when it comes, then, of course, I would have to introduce her to you. I will have to really, of course, be proud of that feeling and just share it with everybody.

“But it’s not something that I see on the horizon, anywhere near. So just focus on my work, just focus on whatever I have in hand and let’s see where it takes me.”

Ayon pa sa isa sa pinaka-eligible bachelor sa showbiz, wala siyang partikular na criteria pagdating sa magiging lifetime partner niya.

Naniniwala raw kasi siya sa destiny at Divine intervention.

“I believe in magic, I believe in something that is, you know, electrifying. Of course, when that person comes, then that person will be the ideal partner,” dagdag ni Piolo.

Aniya pa, “’Pag dumating ’yon, ’yun na ’yon. It’s hard to have a criteria because when you feel it, that’ll only happen when you see the person. And you go from there. Hindi kasi ako naghahanap, eh.

“But there would come a time for me to settle down. I wouldn’t have a criteria because at the end of the day, it’s about the heart. It’s about your feelings. If you feel something for that person and that person might have something that complements you or gives you that feeling of excitement or feeling that you have to be with someone, wala naman siguro, hindi naman hinahanap ’yon.

Dumarating lang. Hahaha!”

Sa ngayon, patuloy lang si Papa P sa pagtatrabaho at pagse-secure sa future niya, ng kanyang anak na si Inigo, mommy niya at buong pamilya nila.

Katuwang niya rito nang ilang taon na ang Sun Life Financial, kung saan mahigit isang dosena na raw yata ang policies niya.

Mula sa iba’t ibang klase ng plan at policies ng Sun Life, sinabi ng aktor na paborito niya ang Fit and Well Life and Health Insurance Plan na bagay para sa mga gaya niyang may active lifestyle.
