PINASINUNGALINGAN ni Executive Secretary Vic Rodriguez ang kumalat na balita na nagbitiw na ito.

Ayon kay Rodriguez siya ay naguluhan ng makatanggap ng text message na nagtatanong kung totoo ang mga kumalat sa social media na siya ay naghain ng resignation letter.

“Even the messages I got this morning, essentially what they said I have resigned. But as you know, you made this courtesy call; I’m still here in my office,” sabi ni Rodriguez sa mga miyembro ng Malacañang Press Corps (MPC) ngayong Biyernes.

Dagdag pa nito: “I’m just here. I hardly go out of my office. I don’t know how the rumor started.”

Itinanggi rin ni Rodriguez ang kumakalat na balita na nanghihingi ito ng P100 milyon sa mga gustong magkaroon ng puwesto sa Marcos administration.

“The amount is fantastic— demanded by whom from whom?” dagdag pa ni Rodriguez. “I think it’s unfair for our friends and members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo to be dragged into, again, tsimis.”

Sinabi ni Rodriguez na problema sa kalusugan at pamilya ang tanging maaaring maging dahilan ng pag-alis nito sa Gabinete.

“I don’t want to think about those reasons because I do not want to get sick. I don’t think anyone of us here would want to get sick. The moment you cite that as a reason to your employer, something must be seriously wrong with your health,” wika pa ng Executive Secretary.
