PINAGTIBAY ng Kamara de Representantes ang panukala na kumikilala at bumabati kay Executive Minister Eduardo V. Manalo at sa mga miyembro ng Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) sa pagdiriwang ng kanilang ika-108 founding anniversary nito.

Binigyan-diin sa House Resolution 185 ang mga nagawa ng INC sa pagpapabuti ng kalagayan ng mga Pilipino.

“Through the leadership of its present Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, the Church continues to progress and succeed, and its membership has been constantly increasing,” ayon sa HR 185.

Ang resolusyon ay akda nina House Speaker Martin G. Romualdez, Majority Leader at Zamboanga City 2nd District Rep. Manuel Jose “Mannix” M. Dalipe, Minority Leader at 4Ps party-list Rep. Marcelino C. Libanan, Senior Deputy Majority Leader and Ilocos Norte 1st District Rep. Ferdinand Alexander A. Marcos, at Tingog party-list Representatives Yedda Marie K. Romualdez at Jude A. Acidre.

Noong Hulyo 27, 2022, ipinagdiwang INC ang kanilang ika-108 founding anniversary.

Ang INC ang pinakamalaking religious organization sa Pilipinas at pinakamalaking independent church sa Asya.

Kinilala ng resolusyon ang mga programa ng INC upang matupad at mapalawak ang kanilang misyon.

“For demonstrating responsiveness to the needs of the poor and marginalized, providing job opportunities and gainful employment to many, members and non-members alike, and instilling good values, it is but fitting to join the Iglesia ni Cristo in commemorating its 108th founding anniversary,” sabi pa sa resolusyon.

Ang INC ay itinayo ni Brother Felix V. Manalo. Ito ay nairehistro noong Hulyo 27, 1914. At mula sa kanilang unang local congregation sa Punta, Sta. Ana, Manila, ay patuloy itong lumawak hindi lamang sa bansa kundi maging sa ibang nasyon.

“Concerned with the welfare not only of its members but also of the society as a whole, the Iglesia ni Cristo undertakes programs and projects in its various fields of endeavor, which are guided by and at the same time promote Christian values,” sabi pa ng resolusyon.

Noong Hunyo 12, 2009, naging batas ang Republic Act No. 9645 o ang “Commemoration of the Founding Anniversary of Iglesia ni Cristo Act” na nagdedeklara na isang special national working holiday ang Hulyo 27 ng bawat taon.
