IPINADALA na ni Philippine National Police-Highway Patrol Group (PNP-HPG) director Brigadier General Rommel Batangan noong Martes ang 175 HPG riders at back up personnel na magsisilbing traffic escorts ng ASEAN 2026 Summit sa Cebu City.

Binubuo ang contingent ng 108 motorcycle riders, 38 drivers at 24 crew members na tatangan sa 175 HPG motorcycles at patrol vehicles.

Mismong ang PNP-HPG director ang tumiyak sa kahandaan ng mga HPG cops sa pag-inspeksyon nya bago ang send off ceremony sa Camp Crame.

Mahalaga ang pagde-deploy ng mga tauhan ng HPG sa event dahil halu-halong personalidad ang dadalo sa summit, ayon sa heneral.

Mahigpit ang bilin ng heneral na frontliners ang papel ng mga HPG personnel sa event kaya dapat listo at snappy sila sa buong duration ng summit.

Ayon kay Brig. Gen. Batangan, “no room for error” sa event “as the Philippines hosts a high-level international event.”

“Our objectives are clear–zero incidents, seamless mobility and national pride.

Your presence on the road must reflect order, safety, and excellence as you carry both the badge of the HPG and the flag of the Philippines,” sabi ng official sa send off ceremony.

Tutulong din ang mga HPG personnel sa traffic management, route security at overall mobility coordination sa Cebu habang nagpapatuloy ang summit.

Ito na ang pangatlong international event na naging punong abala ang Pilipinas.

Nauna nang i-host ng bansa ang ASEAN Tourism Forum noong January 26–30, 2026 at ang 48th ASEAN Leaders’ Summit sa May 5–9, 2026.
