PINAPURIHAN ng isang Mindanao congressman si dating Pangulong Rodrigo Roa Duterte kaugnay sa survey na inilabas kamakailan ng Social Weather Station (SWS) na nagsasaad na nakatanggap si Duterte ng 88% “satisfactory rating” sa kaniyang huling termino mula June 26 hanggang June 29 noong nakaraang taon (2021).

Sinabi ni Surigao del Norte 2nd Dist. Cong. Robert Ace S. Barbers, Chairman ng House Committee on Dangerous Drugs, na ipinapakita lamang aniya ng nasabing “survey result” na ang estilo ng pamamahala ni Duterte ay hindi tulad ng naging leadership style ng mga nadgaang Pangulo.

Ipinaliwanag ni Barbers na leadership style ng dating Pangulo ay naging katanggap-tanggap para nakararaming mamamayan, business community at iba’t-ibang sektor. Kung saan, umarangkada aniya ang akonomiya ng 6.5% sa ilalim ng liderato ni Duterte.

“The results only prove that former President’s Duterte’s leadership style which is like no other compared to the past Presidents of our country, is favored by the people and was well received by the business community. As a matter of fact, he ended his term as the most popular president,” ayon kay Barbers.

Binigyang diin pa ni Barbers na nagkaroon ng malaking impact sa publiko at maging sa lipunan ang pakikipaglaban ng Duterte administration sa talamak na problema ng illegal na droga at kriminalidad. Sa kabila ng mga kritisismo laban sa kaniyang pamamalakad.

“The policy achievements of the Duterte administration especially in the fight against criminality and illegal drugs had a positive impact to the society. In spite of the criticisms in the drug war the people reacted positively as manifested by the survey results,” dagdag pa ni Barbers.
