ISANG eroplano ng Korean Air ang lumagpas sa runway at sumadsad sa Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) Linggo ng gabi, Oktobre 23.

Nangyari umano ito sa kasagsagan ng ulan alas-11:11 ng gabi. Galing ang Korean Air flight no. KE631 sa Incheon, South Korea.

Walang napaulat na nasaktan sa mga pasahero at crew ng eruplano.

“No one was hurt during the incident. All 162 passengers and 11 crew onboard the A330 aircraft were immediately evacuated and tended to by airport emergency personnel,” sabi ng MCIA sa isang pahayag.

Dahil sa insidente maraming biyahe palapag at paalis ng MCIA ang kinansela at ang iba naman ay na-divert sa ibang paliparan.

“The incident has necessitated the temporary closure of the MCIA runway to allow for the safe removal of the aircraft. For now, all international and domestic flights to and from MCIA are canceled until further notice,” dagdag pa ng MCIA.
