TILA isang malaking karangalan sa bansang Pilipinas ang inihayag ng kampo ng dating pulitikong si Luis ‘Chavit’ Singson na nagpahayag na may balak siyang bilhin ang franchise ng Miss Universe Organization.

Ito ay matapos niyang makaharap ang dating vice president ng MUO na si Shawn McCain.

Kasama nilang nag-usap ang anak ni Chavit na si Rep. Richelle Singson na diumano’y siyang nakatakdang mag-aasikaso ng naturang franchise kung sakaling matutuloy ito.

Naging positibo ang reaksyon sa pahayag ng mga Singson lalupa’t nasasangkot ngayon ilang kontrobersiya ang mga kasalukuyang nasa likod ng MUO.

Ayon sa post dating politiko, “For everyone’s information:

“MUO is not owned anymore by Anne Jakrajutatip or Raul Rocha Cantú. In fact, they both have arrest warrants against them!

“Thank you Shawn for visiting us! We look forward to having discussions with the rightful owners, the creditors they defrauded.”

Pero nakarating pala ito sa mga nabanggit na mga personalidad na sina Anne Jakrajutatip at Raul Rocha Cantú.

Sa kanyang Instagram stories noong isang araw ay nag-post ang Mexican billionaire na si Cantu ng, “I’m fed up with that delusional fool and his daughter making statements, dreaming of something he wouldn’t be able to achieve in a hundred years. Keep dreaming, my lawyers will put an end to your fairytales.”

Apat na ang Filipina beauty queens na nagwagi ng Miss Universe title: Gloria Diaz, 1969, Margie Moran, 1973, Pia Wurtzbach, 2015 at Catriona Gray, 2018. Nanalo rin ang may dugong Pilipinang si R’Bonney Gabriel noong 2022 pero ni-represent niya ang Amerika.
