KINONDENA ng Philippine National Police (PNP) ang laking nakasuot ng uniform ng pulis bilang Halloween costume at sinabing pambabastos ang ganitong gimmick.

Kita sa social media kung paano isinuot ng uniform–putol ang sleeves na maling-mali para sa PNP.

Iniutos na ni PNP acting chief Lieutenant General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. sa PNP Criminal Investigation and Detection Group na imbestigahan ang pambabastos na ito at hulihin ang taong nagsuot.

Ayon sa PNP chief, kahit humingi na ng paumanhin ang nagsuot iimbestigahan pa rin ito at papanagutin sa batas.

Sinabi ni PNP-CIDG director Major Gen. Robert Alexander A. Morico II na iimbitahin nila ang lalaki para sa questioning at tatanungin kung saan nakuha ang uniform.

“Our uniform carries a history of valor and sacrifice, it represents the people’s trust in us. To misuse it as a costume trivializes the meaning of service and mocks those who risk their lives to keep our communities safe. This act will not go unpunished; accountability must prevail,” banta ni Lt. Gen. Nartatez.

Ayon kay PNP spokesperson, Brigadier Gen. Randulf T. Tuaño, sagrado ang uniform ng mga parak dahil hindi biro ang ginagampanan nilang tungkulin.

“The PNP uniform is a sacred symbol of duty and sacrifice, not a prop for amusement. We remind everyone that unauthorized use of the police uniform is a crime. The PNP will take all necessary legal measures to protect the honor of the badge,” dagdag ni Brig. Gen. Tuaño.
