HINANGAAN at pinasalamatan ni House Majority Leader at Leyte 1st Dist. Rep. Martin G. Romualdez ang kagandahang loob ni Vice-President Leonora “Leni” Robredo matapos kilalanin ng huli ang integridad ng nakalipas na May 9 national at local elections.

Sinabi ni Atty. Romulo “RomyMac” Macalintal, tumatayong legal counsel ng Pangalawang Pangulo sa isinasawang “Congressional canvassing”, na tinatanggap at kinikilala ni Robredo ang integridad ng nagdaang 2022 elections.

“Your honors, in her public statements. VP Robredo asked her supporters that we need to accept the decision of the majority,” pahayag ni Macalintal sa congressional canvassing.

Si Romualdez ang chairman sa panig ng Kamara de Representantes habang si Senate Majority Leader at Sen. Juan Miguel “Migz” Zubiri naman ang chairman sa panig ng Senado.

Sa naging pahayag ni Macalintal, sinabi ni Romualdez na: “I join my co-chair in expressing gratitude and appreciation on behalf of both Houses of Congress. And the Filipino people for the graciousness of the Vice-President for the sportsman-like conduct for her counsel in the person of Atty. Romy Macalintal”.

Sa pagpapatuloy ng canvassing, sinabi pa ni Romualdez na mula Martes ay matagumpay na nabilang ng Kamara ang tinatayang 105 Certificates of Canvass (COCs) o 60.69%.

“As of 11:03 pm last night, the Joint Committee has successfully canvassed one hundred and five out of the total one hundred and seventy-three COCs of the total COCs. The Joint Committee has determined the authenticity and due execution of these COCs with special and notable observations on three COCs coming from the provinces Surigao del Sur, Pampanga and Sultan Kudarat,” pahayag ni Romualdez sa pagpapatuloy ng Congressional canvassing.
