PINURI ni Speaker Martin G. Romualdez ang mga babaeng mambabatas sa Kamara sa kanilang paglulungsad ng “PamasCONG Handog: Garage Sale for a Cause III.”

Ang bazaar for a cause ay isang charity project ng Association of Women Legislators Foundation, Inc., na pinamumunuan ni Tingog party-list Rep. Yedda Marie K. Romualdez bilang chairperson at Bulacan 4th District Rep. Linabelle Ruth Villarica, na siyang pangulo ng grupo.

Sa kanyang mensahe sa AWLFI, kinilala ni Speaker Romualdez ang proyekto ng mga babaeng mambabatas upang makalikom ng pondo para matulungan ang mga nangangailangan.

“By doing so, you have transformed this sale to transcend the common objective of trade and elevated it to that of a lofty and noble undertaking,” sabi ni Romualdez.

Dumalo sa launching ng bazaar si House Majority Leader at Zamboanga City Rep. Manuel Jose “Mannix” M. Dalipe na nanawagan an suportahan ang programa.

“This activity provides us with an optimism that despite our people’s hardships, there are groups like the AWLFI who are doing everything possible to help our fellowmen,” sabi ni Dalipe. “Please help our lady lawmakers so they can help more people.”

Nagpadala rin ng mga pre-loved na damit at sapatos sina Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. at First Lady Louise Araneta Marcos, at dating Pangulong Gloria Macapagal Arroyo na ngayon ay Senior Deputy Speaker ng Kamara.

“Let me also commend the members of the AWLFI and other participating officials for your display of generosity by letting go of your pre-loved possessions so that others may get to enjoy them at affordable prices,” sabi ni Romualdez.

Dumalo rin sa launching ng event sina Ruffa Gutierrez, Cristine Reyes, at Karla Estrada ng Tingog party-list.

Mayroon ding nagtinda ng mga alahas, pagkain, at mga iba’t ibang item sa bazaar.
