BUMIYAHE na si Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. pa-Davos, Switzerland para dumalo sa World Economic Forum (WEF).

Misyon ng Pangulo ang pagsungkit ng mga dagdag na pamumuhunan sa bansa upang makalikha ng mga bagong mapapasukang trabaho.

“The World Economic Forum is hosting a Country Strategy Dialogue for us where we are given the opportunity to promote the Philippines as leader and driver of growth and a gateway to the Asia-Pacific region– one that is open for business – ever ready to complement regional and global expansion plans of both foreign and Philippine-based enterprises anchored on the competent and well-educated Filipino workers, the managers, and professionals,” ani Pangulong Marcos sa kanyang departure statement sa Villamor Air Base.

Ayon sa Pangulo maghahanap din ito ng mga makakapareho sa pagnanais ng kanyang administrasyon na makapagpatayo ng mga imprastraktura na makatutulong sa pagtiyak na mayroong sapat na suplay ng pagkain at enerhiya ang bansa.

“I will draw attention to our efforts at building resilient infrastructure that bolsters our effort to reinforce robust and resilient supply chains, ensures food security, including critical interlinkages with the health and nutrition sectors, while furthering climate-friendly, clean and green energy to power the Philippine economy,” sabi ng Pangulo.

“Moreover, I will share our experience as a model for managing – with our global partners – the disruptive and transformative impact of COVID,” punto pa ng Pangulo.

Gagamitin din umano ng Pangulo ang pagkakataon upang makapagpalitan ng pananaw sa iba’t ibang isyu sa mga makakasalamuha nitong lider ng mga lalahok na bansa, at mga negosyante.

Ang Pangulo ay inimbita ni Prof. Klaus Schwab, founder at Chair Emeritus ng WEF na dumalo sa naturang pagtitipon ng magkita sila sa Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) at Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) meetings noong Nobyembre.
