DILG sasampahan ng kaso nag-junket noong bagyo
SASAMPAHAN ng kasong kriminal ng Department of the Interior and Local Government ang 24 local government officials na nasa abroad habang binabayo ng mga bagyong Tino at Uwan ang Pilipinas.
Ayon kay DILG chief Juanito Victor Remulla, kasama sa ikakaso sa mga nasa abroad ang abandonment of duty, gross neglect at insubordination.
Kasama sa kakasuhan ang mga Cebu LGU officials na nasa Europe habang bumabagyo.
Kakasuhan ang mga naturang opisyal ng insubordination dahil hindi pinansin ang DILG memorandum na nag-uutos na huwag tumuloy sa anumang travel abroad habang may bagyo
“It’s almost complete. So, we will file the corresponding cases at the Ombudsman for the blatant violations they committed.
We’ll see. We’ll complete the investigation. We’re getting their return flights. It’s a very complicated process. Whoever needs to be punished will be punished,” sabi ni Secretary Remulla.
