NARVACAN, ILOCOS SUR – Patong-patong na kaso ang hinaharap ng isang siga-sigang lalaki matapos siyang maaresto Linggo ng madaling araw dahil nagpasikat sa pagpapaputok ng baril na ikinabahala sa Barangay Estancia dito.

Sa ulat ni Lt. Reynald “Bong” Ramos, chief of police, kay Col. Agosto Asuncion, police director, agad nilang naaresto ang lalaking suspek bunga ng “Warrantless Arrest for Violation of RA 10591,” o Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, dahil sa pagpapatutok ng baril na ikinabahala ng mga kapitbahay nito sa naturang barangay.

Maliban sa illegal possession of firearms, nahaharap din ng kasong alarm and scandal ang suspek.

Sinabi ni Ramos na ang pagkakaaresto sa suspek ng Narvacan Municipal Police Station ay bunga ng natanggap na reklamo ng pulis na biglang nagpaputok ng baril ang suspek habang sila ay nag-iinuman sa Brgy. Estancia.

Dahil dito, agad na inutusan ni Ramos ang kanyang mga tauhan na rumesponde bandang alas-1:31 ng madaling araw.

“Upon arrival, responding personnel caught the suspect in flagrante delicto (caught red-handed), for having in his control and possession one (1) homemade caliber 22 revolver,” ani Ramos.

“The arrested person was subsequently brought to the llocos Sur District Hospital (ISH) for medical examination and thereafter transported to the Narvacan Municipal Police Station for proper disposition and documentation for violation of Republic Act No. 10591. The operation was conducted using alternative recording devices (ARDs) pursuant to the rules on the use of body-worn cameras. The Philippine National Police reiterates its commitment to maintaining peace and order and enforcing the law to ensure public safety,” dagdag niya.
