SA pag-alis ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. sa bansa ay itinalaga nito si Vice President Sara Duterte bilang officer-in-charge sa operasyon ng Office of the President (OP).

Inaatasan din ng Special Order (SO) no. 5 ang lahat ng departamento, ahensya, at iba pang sangay ng gobyerno na tulungan si Duterte sa pagganap sa kanyang tungkulin bilang OIC.

“All acts of the Vice President for and on behalf of the President pursuant to this Order shall be deemed acts of the President, unless disapproved or reprobated by the President,” sabi sa SO.

Nilagdaan ang SO ni Executive Secretary Vic Rodriguez noong Setyembre 2, 2022.

Wala sa bansa ang Pangulo mula Setyembre 4 hanggang 7 para sa kanyang pagbisita sa Indonesia at Singapore
