ITINUTULAK ni Manila 2nd District Representative Rolando “CRV” M. Valeriano na maibaba ang sinisingil na 12 porsiyentong Value-Added Tax (VAT) sa kuryente.

Ito ay upang maibsan ang napakabigat na pasanin ng libo-libong electric consumers na ayon kay Valeriano ay lalo lamang nagpapabigat sa kanilang pang-araw araw na gastusin bukod pa ang paniningil sa bayad sa tubig, para sa pagkain at iba pa.

Sinabi ng kongresista na tiyak na makakakuha ng suporta mula sa publiko kung tuluyang matatanggal ang ipinapataw na 12% VAT sa kuryente na malaon ng idinadaing ng mga electric consumers.

“We can prosper and gain public support are the removal of the 12% Value-Added Tax on electricity. The extension of the amnesty on estate taxes and general tax amnesty. Removal of the 12% VAT on electricity will be evenntually recovered because that 12% VAT foregone will be positive in the form of increased consumer spending and added corporate funds for expansio projects leading to more new jobs,” sabi ni Valeriano.
