ISANG Administrative Order ang inilabas ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. upang buohin ang isang inter-agency task force para paghandaan ang FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023.

Batay sa AO No. 5, inutusan ni Pangulong Marcos ang Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) at hepe ng iba’t ibang ahensya na pamunuan ang task force.

Kasama sa task force ang Department of Foreign Affairs, Department of Health, Department of the Interior and Local Government, Department of Public Works and Highways, Department of Tourism, Department of Transportation, Bureau of Customs, Bureau of Immigration, Philippine National Police, at Metropolitan Manila Development Authority.

“All heads of departments, bureaus, offices, agencies or instrumentalities of the government, including government-owned or -controlled corporations, and state universities and colleges are hereby directed to extend full support and assistance, consistent with their respective mandates, to the PSC and SBP in the preparatory activities for the Philippines’ hosting of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 including, among others, the procurement of necessary materials and equipment, provision of support services, and acceptance of donations, in accordance with existing laws, rules and regulations,” ayon sa AO.

Hinimok din ng AO ang mga lokal na pamahalaan, non-government organizations, at ang pribadong sektor na makipagtulungan at sumuporta sa paghahanda sa FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023.

Ang mga kakailanganing pondo ay kukunin sa kasalukuyang budget ng mga ahensya alinsunod sa regulasyon.

Ang 2023 FIBA World Cup ay gaganapin sa Pilipinas, Japan, at Indonesia mula Agosto 25 hanggang Setyembre 10.
