NANUMPA si Vice President Sara Duterte bilang honorary member ng Philippine Military Academy Bagong Anyo ng Buhay (Banyuhay) Class of 2002.

Kasama ni Duterte na nanumpa si Senator Robin Padilla at Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company (PLDT) Executive Leo Gonzales.

Sa kanyang mensahe, kinilala ni Duterte ang pagmamahal na ipinapakita ng mga sundalo sa bansa.

“Your love of country scintillates brilliantly during times when we need light, inspiration, and courage to stand, serve, protect, and fight for our country and fellow men,” sabi ni Duterte.

Kinilala rin ni Duterte si Major Jericho Mangalus na namatay kasama si Corporal Bryan Libot sa isang ambush sa Marawi Siege noong 2017.

“Let us not forget the heroism of Mangalus, who is a member of Banyuhay class, and all the other fallen soldiers who died fighting to ensure that Filipino families will sleep well tonight,” dagdag pa ni Duterte.

Hinamon din ni Duterte ang kanyang mga class member na panatilihin ang prinsipyo ng karangalan, katarungan, at kagitingan.

“We will continue working together in increasing the capability of our military by seeking interventions that will foster our military’s excellent leadership while spearheading programs that will uplift the morale of our soldiers and promote the welfare of all our uniformed men and women,” sabi pa ng Ikalawang Pangulo.

Ginanap ang oath-taking sa selebrasyon ng ika-21 graduation anniversary ng Banyuhay.
