NANAWAGAN si Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez na mas paramihin pa ang mga proyekto sa ilalim ng public-private partnership na aniya’y susi sa modernisasyon ng mga imprastraktura sa bansa at magbibigay ng mas maayos na buhay para sa mga Pilipino.

Ginawa ni Speaker Romualdez ang panawagan sa pagpapasinaya ng ikatlong Candaba Viaduct project ng NLEx Corp. na ginanap sa Brgy. Dulong Malabon sa Pulilan, Bulacan.

Inaasahang makukompleto ang proyekto sa Nobyembre 2024 at makatutulong sa pagpapabilis ng biyahe sa patungo at palabas ng norte.

Ang kasalukuyang 40 hanggang 60 kilometro kada oras na biyahe sa NLEx ay inaasahang aakyat sa 60 hanggang 80 kilometro kada oras.

“The Candaba Third Viaduct serves as a symbol of the fruitful partnership between the government and the private sector. It is a testament to what we can achieve when we work together towards a common goal,” ani Romualdez.

Pinasalamatan rin ni Speaker Romualdez si Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. sa pagsuporta nito sa iba’t ibang imprastraktura sa bansa.

“Under his visionary leadership, we have witnessed a renewed commitment to the Build Build Build program, which aims to propel our nation towards progress and inclusive growth,” ayon sa House Speaker.

Kinilala din ng lider ng Kamara ang pagsusulong ng mga kinatawan ng Pampanga ngayong 19th Congress, sa pangunguna nina Senior Deputy Speaker Dong Gonzales, Deputy Speaker Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, at Representatives Jon Lazatin at Anna York Bondoc, upang agad na maisakatuparan ang proyekto.

Binigyan-diin ni Speaker Romualdez ang kahalagahan ng strategic expressway link na nag-uugnay ng Metro Manila at Central at North Luzon corridor sa mabilis na pagbiyahe ng publiko, kalakal, at serbisyo.

“However, as our population grows and our economy expands, it is imperative that we invest in the modernization and expansion of our infrastructure,” punto pa nito.

Itinayo ang limang kilometrong viaduct noong dekada-’70 na bumabagtas sa Candaba Swamp sa Pampanga at Bulacan. Mayroon itong tig-dalawang lanes.

Taong 2017 nang i-convert ito sa 2 by 3 lanes upang mas mapalaki ang kapasidad at nagbibigay sebisyo ngayon sa may 80,000 na motorista kada araw.

Ang bagong proyekto ay hindi lamang umano makapagpapahusay ng transportation network kundi makatutulong din sa pangkabuuang socio-economic development ng rehiyon dahil sa dala nitong dagdag trabaho, investment at economic growth.

“As we break ground today, we are not just laying the foundation for a new structure; we are paving the way for progress, prosperity, and a brighter future for our nation. Noong Mayo, ay pinagtibay ng House of Representatives sa ikatlong pagbasa ang House Bill No. 8078, para i-adopt ang 30-year National Infrastructure Program (NIP).

Nakatuon ito sa iba’t ibang imprastraktura gaya ng transportasyon, enerhiya, tubig, information, and communications technology, agri-fisheries modernization at food logistics, at social infrastructure.

Manggagaling ang pondo para sa NIP sa national budget, public-private partnership (PPP) arrangements, kasama ang hybrid PPPs, mga pondo ng lokal na pamahalaan o at iba pang maaaring mapagkunan.
