NAG-UTOS ang Land Transportation Office (LTO) Central Office ng malawakang imbestigasyon at audit kaugnay ng umano’y mga isyu ng korapsyon sa operasyon ng Region 7.

Ang direktiba ay inilabas ni LTO Chief, Assistant Secretary Markus V. Lacanilao, kasunod ng mga pahayag ni Department of Transportation Secretary Giovanni Lopez hinggil sa mga ulat ng iregularidad.

Ayon kay Asec. Lacanilao, agad na inatasan ang isang espesyal na koponan mula sa Central Office upang magsagawa ng masusing imbestigasyon.

“Let me be clear,” pahayag ni Asec. Lacanilao, “There will be no stone left unturned in this investigation. We will meticulously trace every lead, examine every document, and interview every relevant personnel until we identify and bring to justice those responsible for these alleged corrupt practices. The LTO is committed to upholding the highest standards of public service, and we will purge our ranks of anyone who tarnishes that commitment. This is not merely an audit; this is a relentless pursuit of truth and accountability to restore the public’s trust in LTO Region 7. We will ensure that justice is served and that our services are delivered with integrity and transparency.”

Batay sa LTO, saklaw ng imbestigasyon ang mga transaksyong pinansyal, mga proseso ng licensing at registration, at mga enforcement activities sa Region 7. Isasagawa ang audit nang may pagiging patas at walang kinikilingan, ayon sa ahensya.

Dagdag pa ng LTO, ang sinumang opisyal o empleyado na mapapatunayang sangkot, matapos ang kaukulang proseso, ay haharap sa parusang administratibo at posibleng legal na aksyon.
