Aug 29 special polls sa 4th dist ng Cavite
ITINAKDA sa Cavite 4th district ang special election sa August 29 para mapunuan ang nabakanteng pwesto sa House of Representatives dahil sa pagkaka-expel kay ex-Rep. Francisco ‘Kiko’ Barzaga Jr. noong Hunyo 2.
Ayon sa Malacan̈ang, may sapat na pondo ang Commission on Elections para sa special election sa Cavite.
Kakailanganin ng P200 million para sa special election sa 4th district ng Cavite, ayon kay Comelec chairman Atty. George Garcia.
Itinakda ang certificate of candidacy (CoC) filing period sa July 15-17 at magsisimula ang election period sa July 30.
“We intend to be able to proclaim the winning member of the House of Representatives the morning after the election of Aug. 29. So, more or less Aug. 30, early hours, we want to make the proclamation,” sabi ni Garcia
Ayon kay Atty. Mico Morales-Castro, Cavite Provincial Election Officer, pwede pang tumakbo si Barzaga.
“For those asking, if ousted Congressman Barzaga can still run for reelection, yes po,” ayon kay Atty. Morales-Castro.
Binubuo ang 4th district o Dasmarinas City ng 75 barangays at may 432,844 registered voters.
