HINDI patatalo ang Bay Area Dragons sa darating na PBA Commissioner’s Cup.

Pinili ng Dragons ang NBA veteran na si Andrew Nicholson bilang import sa gagawin nitong paglahok sa naturang mid-season tournament ng PBA simula Sept. 21.

Ang 6-10 Canadian player ay unang naglaro para sa NBA team Orlando Magic, kung saan siya ang naging first round pick nito nung 2012 draft.

Matapos ang apat na taon sa Magic, naglaro din ang 32-taong-gulang na si Nicholson sa Washington Wizards at Brooklyn Nets bago tuluyang lumipat sa Daegu Pegasus sa Korean Basketball

League (KBL) at Fujian Sturgeons at Guangzhou Loong sa Chinese Basketball Association (CBA).

“Andrew Nicholson is someone that we’ve been keeping an eye for a while. His size is undeniably an advantage on the court, but it’s his skillset and his approach to the game that really attracted our attention,” pahayag ni Dragons general manager Liu Quansheng sa PBA.

“He was a strong inside presence and can knock down shots from beyond the arc as many Chinese fans have seen when he played three season in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). We can’t wait to start working with Andrew,” dugtong pa niya.

Makakasama ni Nicholson bilang second import ng Dragons ang 6-2 guard na si Myles Powell para na din sa darating na Season 1 ng East Asia Super League (EASL).
