INAASAHANG magiging kapanapanabik ang mga laro sa pagbubukas ng Pinoy Liga Collegiate Cup Season 3 ngayong weekend sa Enderun Colleges.

Tatampukan ng mga teams mula National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) ang unang araw na aksyon na kung saan magtutuos ang Lyceum of the Philippines University at Far Eastern University simula 12 noon at University of the Philippines at San Sebastian College- Recoletos sa 2:30 p.m. ngayong Sabado.

Sa Linggo, magsasagupa ang University of Perpetual Help System DALTA at Our Lady of Fatima University simula 12 noon, at Guang Ming College at host school Enderun College sa 2:30 p.m. na laro.

Inanunsyo ni Pinoy Liga founder Benny Benitez na ang Season 3 ng Collegiate Cup ay ipalalabas sa TV, na kung saan ang Aliw 23 ang napiling official broadcast partner ng tournament.

“We’re now on free to air TV so that the countryside, the whole nation can see us, their favorite college and university teams, their favorite players, they can check and see who are the players to watch in the coming NCAA and UAAP,” pahayag ni Benitez sa press conference na ginanap sa Amelie Hotel sa Malate, Manila kamakailan.

“We’re very thankful to Aliw 23 for giving us an opportunity to broadcast our Collegiate Cup games of Pinoy Liga,” dagdag pa niya.

Mula nagsimula nung 2022 na kung saan may kalahok na eight teams at 17 teams nung season 2, ang Pinoy Liga ay may 18 teams na kalahok ngayong taon.

Ang mga teams ay hahatiin sa two divisions, Prime and Edge.

Pangungunahan ng UAAP champion De La Salle University ang Prime division kasama ang National University, Manila Central University, Lyceum Enderun, Guang Ming, NCAA runner up Mapua University, at defending Pinoy Liga Collegiate Cup champion Ateneo de Manila University.

Sa Edge group, maglalaro ang NCAA champion San Beda University, Adamson University, University of the East, Letran, Fatima, UAAP runner-up UP, Perpetual Help, San Sebastian at Diliman Colleges.

“We want the players to enjoy the tournament, because we’re giving them the opportunity to learn, which means they have the stage to improve their skills through Pinoy Liga before they go to their respective leagues like the UAAP and the NCAA,” paliwanag pa ni Benitez.

“We’ve also just been recently been approved as a member of the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas, and good things are on the way because we’re partnering with the federation,” dagdag niya
Ang referee’s group na BRASCU ang pipito sa kumpetisyon at si Wilson Ang ang commissioner.

Dumalo din sa press conference sina Ian Borbe, ang technical head of BRASCU, Amelie Hotel brand and marketing manager Mark Abellon at Eastern Communications representative Gian Barcarse.
