PINURI ni Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III ang pagtatalaga kay Jesus Crispin “Boying” Remulla bilang bagong Ombudsman at inilarawan ito bilang isang matapang na lingkod-bayan na tapat sa katotohanan at katarungan.

Samantala, sinabi ni Senator Win Gatchalian na ang pag-upo ni Remulla sa naturang posisyon ay nagaganap sa panahong hinaharap ng bansa ang matitinding isyu ng korupsiyon. Binigyang-diin niya ang pangangailangan ng matatag at patas na pamumuno upang maibalik ang tiwala ng mamamayan sa pamahalaan.
