May temang “In Valor We Remember: A Pledge for Future Generations,” nagkaroon ng wreath-laying ceremony sa regional headquarters.

Isang misa ang isinagawa “in honor of the courage and selfless service of the 44 SAF commandos who laid down their lives for the nation.”

Sa naturang ceremony, nagbigay ng message si chief PNP, P/Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. na binasa ni Gen. Badua.

“You have done your duty. You have paid the highest price, and today, we stand here because of your valor.

Hindi namin kayo kinalimutan at hindi namin hahayaang manatili lamang sa alaala ang inyong sakripisyo,” sabi ng PNP chief.

“May your sacrifice continue to inspire courage and guide our service, and may we always be worthy of the lives you gave for this nation,” dagdag pa niya.

Nagbigay din ang PRO MIMAROPA ng tribute sa pumanaw na si PSSg Junery Omagap.

Idineklara ni ex-President Rodrigo Duterte na tuwing Enero 25 dapat gunitain ang “National Day of Remembrance for the Heroic Sacrifice of the SAF 44.”
