NAGPAHAYAG ng suporta ang Young Guns ng Kamara de Representantes sa itinutulak na reporma ni Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez para maging transparent at people-focused ang panukalang ₱6.793-trilyong 2026 National Expenditure Program (NEP) na isinumite ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. sa Kongreso.

Sinabi nina Deputy Speaker Francisco “Paolo” Ortega V, Deputy Speaker Jefferson “Jay” Khonghun, Deputy Majority Leader Ramon Rodrigo “Rodge” Gutierrez, Deputy Majority Leader Ernesto “Ernix” Dionisio Jr., Deputy Majority Leader Zia Alonto Adiong, at Committee Chairman Lordan Suan na ang Budget Message ng Pangulo para sa 2026 ay naglalatag ng malinaw at kapani-paniwalang roadmap para sa Bagong Pilipinas—isang bansa kung saan bawat pamilya ay maaaring umasa sa magkakaugnay na komunidad, abot-kayang pagkain, accessible na edukasyon, dekalidad na serbisyong pangkalusugan, at ligtas na mga pamayanan.

“The President has given us a budget message that speaks directly to the needs and dreams of every Filipino household,” ani Deputy Speaker Ortega. “As the new generation in Congress, we see it as our duty to make sure this vision is carried through a budget process that is honest, inclusive, and easy for our people to follow.”

Binigyang-diin ng Young Guns na ang mga prayoridad sa budget ng Pangulo—edukasyon, kalusugan, seguridad sa pagkain, trabaho, imprastruktura, kapayapaan, at katatagan—ay ang pang-araw-araw na pangangailangan sa kanilang mga Pilipino.

Tinitingnan ng mga mambabatas ang mga ito bilang mga pangakong dapat pangalagaan sa pamamagitan ng mga repormang ipinatutupad ni Speaker Romualdez sa proseso ng pagbuo ng budget.

“For us, this is personal,” sabi ni Deputy Speaker Khonghun. “We grew up seeing communities struggle when government spending failed to reach them. The President’s plan gives us a chance to change that story, and the Speaker’s reforms will make sure every peso is spent where it truly matters.”

Binigyang-diin ni Deputy Majority Leader Gutierrez na lalapitan ng grupo ang mga deliberasyon na may “on-the-ground lens” na hinubog ng kanilang trabaho sa iba’t ibang komunidad.

“The President’s message is a promise; our job is to turn that promise into real outcomes—roads that connect, schools that inspire, hospitals that heal, and communities that thrive,” sabi ni Gutierrez.

Idinagdag ni Deputy Majority Leader Adiong na mahalaga ang timing:

“This is the first national budget to be crafted under a more open, participatory system. The President’s priorities are clear, and with these reforms, we can ensure transparency and accountability from day one.”

Nangako ang Young Guns na susuriin ang bawat pahina ng NEP na may iisang gabay na tanong: “Makakabuti ba ito sa ating mga kababayan?” Nangako silang susuportahan ang mga panukalang maghahatid ng resulta para sa mga pamilyang Pilipino, pahuhusayin ang mga nangangailangan ng pag-amyenda, at titiyakin ang isang budget na transparent sa proseso, transformative sa epekto, at pinagkakatiwalaan ng taumbayan.
