PINAPURIHAN ni House Senior Deputy Speaker Aurelio “Dong” D. Gonzales Jr. ang pinal na Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) para sa pangangasiwa ng Maharlika Investment Corporation (MIC), na magsisilbi umanong “ultimate safeguard” para sa pinakahihintay na Maharlika Investment Fund.

Kumpiyansa si Gonzales na ang regulasyong ito ay magpapalakas sa otonomiya ng Board of Directors ng MIC, para sa isang pamamahala na malaya sa paggawa ang tamang desisyon at walang impluwensya lalo na ng politika.

“The final IRR, approved by no less than President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., stands as a testament to the commitment to reinforce the governance structure of the MIC, ensuring that the Board of Directors possesses the necessary freedom to administer the fund without external interference, thus bolstering its effectiveness and credibility in the financial landscape,” sabi ni Gonzles

Para sa ikalawang pinakamataas na opisyal ng Kamara de Representantes, ang pagkakakumpleto sa IRR ng Maharlika ay importanteng hakbang para sa pagreserba sa pagsasarili ng MIC.

“This step ensures that the board of directors can operate in a manner that best serves the interests of the corporation and its stakeholders, free from any undue political pressures,” ipinunto ni Gonzales.

“This independence will enable the MIC to perform its crucial role in investment activities, contributing significantly to the economic growth and stability of the nation,” dagdag ng mambabatas.

Naniniwala si Gonzales na ang pagiging independent ng Board of Directors ng MIC, salig na rin sa IRR ay mahalagang bahagi ng pagtiyak sa isang patas at walang kinikilingang pamamahala sa pondo ng korporasyon.

“It solidifies the commitment to transparent, efficient, and impartial financial management, setting a precedent for enhanced governance in financial institutions,” diin nito.
