MULING bubuksan ng House committee on ethics and privileges ang kaso laban kay suspendidong Cavite Rep. Francisco “Kiko” Barzaga sa Pebrero 3, ayon kay panel chair JC M. Abalos ng 4PS Party-list nitong Biyernes.

“The House Committee on Ethics will reopen the case against Cavite Rep. Francisco ‘Kiko’ Barzaga on February 3, 2026,” ani Abalos.

Sinabi niyang personal na naihatid at natanggap ng opisina ni Barzaga ang notice ng pagdinig noong Huwebes.

“Notice was personally served and received by his office yesterday, Thursday, and we expect his attendance and full cooperation,” pahayag ni Abalos.

Ayon pa sa kanya, ang muling pagbubukas ng kaso ay alinsunod sa motion na inaprubahan ng plenaryo.

“This proceeding follows a motion adopted by the plenary,” aniya.

Ang motion ay inihain ni Deputy Majority Leader at 1Rider Party-list Rep. Rodge Gutierrez, at inaprubahan matapos ang personal at collective privilege speech ni Manila Rep. Rolando Valeriano.

“The motion, made by Deputy Majority Leader and 1Rider Rep. Ramon Rodrigo Gutierrez, was approved after the personal and collective privilege speech of Manila Rep. Rolando Valeriano,” saad ni Abalos.

Tiniyak din niyang susunod ang komite sa House rules at igagalang ang due process.

“We will proceed strictly by the rules and ensure due process for Rep. Barzaga,” sinabi ni Abalos.
